MOTIVE - Merging originals traditions into new voices of europe

MOTIVE is a project involving 15 European musicians from Italy, Lithuania, and Poland (five representatives from each country) in their first musical experiences.
The project’s main objective is to foster young musicians’ careers by creating an international collective of musicians who, by exploring the respective musical traditions of each country, will create a joint production of new compositions in a crossover style, contaminating different musical languages and traditions.
Phases of the Motive Project:
- Training and Workshop Phase: 30 hours of online and on-site training and workshops during a two-day pilot lesson in Warsaw, Poland.
- Creation Phase: Exploration of the country’s local music under the guidance of experts from Societa Beethoven (Italy). International collaboration and co-creation of new music online and during a masterclass in Nida, Lithuania.
- Finale: Presentation of collectively created pieces during a live concert in Crotone, Italy.
We provide:
- Coverage of travel, accommodation, and meals during trips to Poland, Italy, and Lithuania.
- Training materials and toolkits, lessons with industry experts.
- Participation of women at a minimum of 40%.
- Program tailored to the needs of people with disabilities.
Who CAN APPLY:
- Musicians between 18 and 30 years old
- Those who have begun their musical journey and are looking to deepen their understanding and skills with no more than 2 years of experience in the music industry
- Perfect for individuals looking for a serious approach in the music business who have elemental music composition skills, play at least one musical instrument, and are familiar with music production software like Logic Pro, Cubase, Pro Tools, etc.
